McKinley Foundation is a dynamic non-profit organization that funds work in the areas of racial justice and equality, healthcare, education, environmental activism, food and housing insecurities, gender equality, and LGBTQ activism. We will showcase the most recent grant recipients so you can learn first-hand how your donations make a difference.
Meet This Year’s Grant Recipients
Entertainment
The Sweet Nothings: The Sweet Nothings is a traditional jazz group from Bloomington. They are influenced by the music of the early swing period, such as Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Ella Fitzgerald, and Django Reinhardt. They bring fresh, new energy to the genre, and have become a recent favorite of the swing dance groups in central Illinois. They have been described as a mix between The Squirrel Nut Zippers and Postmodern Jukebox.
Dan Wild: Wild is a local illustrator, designer, caricaturist, and author. He will provide live caricature drawings during the event.
