Student Community Dinners
Hungry? Short on Cash? Come and Eat Free!
We offer freshly cooked meals to UIUC students who struggle with food insecurity.
Who: UIUC undergraduate and graduate students. When: Fridays, 5 to 7 p.m. when school is in session. Where: McKinley Foundation / Presby Dining Hall. 805 S 5th St, Champaign. Buzzer entry. Identify yourself as community dinner participant. Please provide: Proof of student and building access status; the Illinois app works for both.
Student Fellowship
Join the McKinley Student Group for friendship and fellowship. We are a group of young adults in our late teens and twenties attending the University, Parkland, or working in the community that gathers together regularly, alternating food, fun, and community service.
Retiree Breakfasts
Retired men and women gather regularly, swapping stories and catching up on the news of the day. We meet on Zoom the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9 a.m. To receive notices and reminders, fill out the contact us form.
Sunday Fellowship
When we are able to worship in person, we gather at 10:00 a.m. on the lower level of the church building for Sunday Morning Fellowship prior to worship. We also enjoy special receptions, Thanksgiving and Palm Sunday meals, and summer social events.
Women in Conversation
Women In Conversation (Men Always Welcome) is a monthly evening fellowship group that meets in residences of participants from September to June. We share friendship and discussion around social justice and personal growth issues, crafts, travel experiences and more. Each month members of McKinley and the community share a new topic, so the group is a great opportunity for newcomers to meet regular attenders in a relaxed setting.
