- Choir rehearsal: 10 a.m. in the sanctuary.
- Fellowship: 10 a.m. in our basement fellowship space. Join others for treats, drinks, and conversation before worship.
- Before worship: Youth will take orders for and sell fair-trade items at the back of the sanctuary.
- Worship: 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. What is Lent? It is the season when we walk with Jesus as he faced adversity and impending death—and marvel at his courage and love! In our society these days we face a lot of adversity, uncertainty, illness, and heartbreak. By paying attention to Jesus, we can learn how to have courage and act with love. During the worship service, following the Passing of the Peace, worshipers of all ages (from 3 to 93) will be dismissed to Sunday school. Everyone will be invited to choose a workshop or activity. The offerings might include a Lenten hymn sing; a Bible study on Jesus’s temptation and courageous response; writing prayers of encouragement, healing, and hope; and designing posters and paraments for Holy Week. There will be something for everyone!
- For children and youth: Nursery care is available for children birth through kindergarten during worship. Elementary-age children and youth will participate in the all-church Sunday school during worship.
- After worship: Youth will take orders for and sell fair-trade items at the back of the sanctuary. Orders already placed for tea, chocolate, and Keurig coffee will be available. Class will held in the youth room afterward, ending around 1 p.m., with the continuation of a discussion on “Sticking Your Neck Out” to serve others by “Stepping Out in Faith.” Those traveling to St. Louis are reminded to bring their permission slips and a final payment of $25 to church this week.
