We welcome Granger Odum to the pulpit this Sunday. Granger will be preaching from Psalm 133 (“Behold how pleasant it is when siblings gather in unity”) and Mark 4. Mark’s story of Jesus sleeping in the prow of the boat during a storm causes the disciples to react with great concern and not a lot of unity. How well do we manage unity in times of crisis?
Who is Granger Odum? He is a Presbyterian elder, the director of music at First Marion Presbyterian Church, a voice teacher, a theatrical director, and an LGBTQIA rights activist who lives and works in Marion, Illinois.
