At McKinley, Memorial Sunday is a service of poetry and prayer honoring those who have died in armed conflict and wars against injustice as well as others who have died in the past year. In addition to the virtual service at 11 am, this Sunday’s in-person (9 am) service will be held outdoors in our labyrinth area (along Fifth Street), weather permitting.
The service will actually begin at 8:55 with welcome and announcements. Kindly arrive before 8:55, if possible, as we will begin recording promptly at 9. Please wear a mask, as there will be unvaccinated persons present. Bring your own lawn chair, as well as a water bottle, sun hat, and sunscreen.
There will be activities for young kids.
Our outdoor worship will end at 9:30 a.m. However, catching up with each other after the service will have no time limit.
If it is raining, we will move the worship into the church building.
