McKinley’s Communications and Outreach Committee has added a new feature to the website to make it more accessible to everyone. When you go to the McKinley website (mckinleycu.org) you will see an icon of a person in an aqua circle at the bottom lefthand corner of your screen. Click on this icon to see all of the accessibility features that are available. Some of the adjustments that are offered are:
- a seizure safe profile which clears flashes and reduces color
- a vision impaired profile that enhances the website’s visuals
- an ADHD profile that provides more focus and fewer distractions
- a cognitive disability profile that assists with reading and focusing
- keyboard navigation that allows the use of the keyboard for the website
- and a way to optimize the use of a screen reader with the website
Under this icon there are also options to adjust the content, color, and orientation of the website to meet a person’s specific needs. The Communications and Outreach Committee hopes that this addition allows all users to have a positive experience when visiting our website. You are encouraged to visit the website and check it out!
