Each year in February, our McKinley Youth participate in the Super Bowl Sunday project . In 1990, a group of Presbyterian youth in South Carolina began a grassroots effort to Tackle Hunger. It spread quickly and, last year, 2,247 groups collected $1,124,514.83 in addition to non-perishable items. All the profits are used locally by the groups who participate.
Beginning this week through February 11 (Super Bowl Sunday), the youth will have a basket available for financial donations and canned items. We especially need peanut butter. 100% of everything collected will be used to support our Garden Hills Food Pantry.
We hope you will consider supporting this effort to Tackle Hunger!
